At the dawn of a new technological and developmental paradigm, Mr. Mehmet Ali Olmez, left Turkey in search of an industrial vision in Africa. He settled in Swaziland in 1982, and formed Olmez Electrical (pty) Ltd, still operational today. Olmez Electrical spent the subsequent 20 years bringing energy to the region with various key rural electrification projects, provision of kWh Meters and transformers. Mr. M.A. Olmez's legacy and vision was passed down to his three sons, Ismail, Cetin and Ziver, who play an integral part in furthering all aspects of development and industry in Africa.

Since 2000, Mr. Cetin Olmez and Mr. Ismail Olmez pooled together 20 years of accumulated experience and capital to form an outstanding group of companies in Swaziland, SDS Ltd, Elektro Ltd, ZXAuto Swaziland, and MacroCapita Ltd.  Mr. Ziver Olmez joined OlmezGroup recently as Head of Research and Project Development. Mr. Z. Olmez has an impressive track record of economic and econometric research, specifically in the electricity sector and regulation in developing countries.
